*I was in a rush, so I didn't wipe the car down before the photo. My apologizes for the wet fender! 1989 Mustang GT Hatchback with 36,XXX original miles Tweed interior, automatic, sunroof, a/c, power window/locks/mirrors, 140 speedo, factory Deep Shadow Blue Metallic w/Titanium bottom, and immaculate interior. 99.9% ORIGINAL (stabilizer link kits, battery, wiper blades, tires, fuel pump, and I think one or two other things are the only things not original). More info below: More information to come. We decided to hold off on selling this car now that the other Mustang we were going to purchase is sold! Here's the history lesson behind this car... At the time the previous owner owned it, it was hit in the rear and the front left fender and left door were mildly damaged. He purchased it hit and had it "quick" fixed. After the accident, it was placed in a barn, which is where he found it one day when he drove by and the barn door was open. The previous owner purchased a F-250, boat, and this, and the wife told him one had to go. So, he sold the Mustang to us in primer. After purchasing it, we brought the car to be fixed and painted. "Fixed" meaning we took out the filler, had the minor damage in the rear fixed, and then primed the car again. The guy who did it (family friend), focused on making the rear end perfect. He managed to forget about when something fell on the front left corner of the roof (small, minor dents). After spending "side" time on it on and off for a few weeks, he got bombarded with business and had to get the car out of the shop quickly. So he did a quick paint job on it and it was done. The paint is amazing, especially for doing it quickly. What do you expect from a guy who has done it all his life though? |
