5pt0Joe.com is a site that was created by me, Joe R.  I am addicted to Ford Mustangs, to say the least and if you know anything about Mustangs, one of the legendary "ponies" under the hood came from a 5-Liter engine, dubbed "5.0".  Since I like to be different, I altered the "." to "pt" (abbreviated "5pt0") and simply added my name.  It is an alias, if you will, for the Mustang community.  My other nickname is "Mustang Joe," but mostly in the non-Mustang circuit in the local community.  Long story on that nickname, but if you are in the Lebanon area of New Hampshire, I'm sure you or someone you know is well aware of the history behind it!  If my real name wasn't part of it, I'm certain no one would actually know my name!

Why Mustangs?
Well, it all started with a neighbor who worked at a golf course named Charlie.  Every morning (early hours) when he left for work, I'd wake up every single time he left the house.  The sound of the Flowmaster's on his '83 5-Liter was what got me, not to mention it was also my favorite color blue!

I had the opportunity to have an '89 Mustang 4-cyl. as my first car, but I was persistent on starting with a 4X4.  Since I loved the Ford Bronco's, I wanted one, but instead decided to go with a 5-speed '88 Bronco II.  Shortly after, I found myself getting an '88 Mustang convertible (5.0, automatic) as a summer vehicle.  I just kept adding and adding... next was a '90 4-cyl., then an '89 GT convertible, an '88 GT convertible, an '89 GT hatchback parts car, a '90 Mustang SSP (Texas Dept. of Public Safety, marked), another '90 4cyl., an '88 Mustang SSP (MA State Police, unmarked), '92 LX convertible parts car, an '84 Mustang "L", and soon another one (yet to be told to the public)!  Of all of those Mustangs, I still have all but four!

Work versus Play
As a recent graduate of Nichols College (Dudley, MA) with a BSBA in Business Management and a minor in Marketing, I always get asked what my goal is in life.  It is to make my work my play!  I hope to own my own automotive business someday that will consist of a used car dealership, transportation services, and an area to specialize in the restoration of Mustangs!  But what can I say, with this economy, it looks like it's going to have to wait a while longer!
